Should have phoned CJ - his parents literally live less than 5 minutes from that bridge - I'm sure they wouldn't have minded a friend of ours popping in to spend a penny lol.

Also just near the lock is where CJ proposed to me (on the first attempt rather than the second "for show" attempt)

Other than the loo issue - hope you had a good day :)

Hi Lori,
Thank you for your comments, and for the clarification, now knowing that it makes a lot more sense of the book. As I said in the review I did enjoy reading it and am looking forward to reading Missing Andy.

David,

Thank you so much for your review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the book and I look forward to your review of my second book.

Just to let you and your readers know -- From From To Christian In Just 35 Years is a compilation of three stories. The first story is the Zero to 35 Years part about how I became a Christian; the second is titled Being Okay With Being Me and is about accepting yourself as God sees you; the third is Life Is Like A Charm Bracelet and is about how it's all about God and not about us.

Thanks again and I'll be seeing you on Twitter!

I dislike the phone all I was saying was, if you want/need an urgent response then don't rely on e-mail, pick up the phone but I still prefer contact via e-mail for the very reason that you outline. E-Mail is so much less intrusive and far better, it is my communication method of choice 9 times out of 10.

Heh heh. I'm almost exactly the opposite. In fact, I blogged about this very thing not so long ago...
http://fotdmike.com/2010/07/10/and-check-the-blog/

Thing with phone calls is, they're so intrusive. That irritating bell/ringtone/buzzer/whatever seems so insistent, demanding attention then and there, regardless of what one may be doing.

In the middle of something really creative? Doesn't matter. Watch all inspiration fly out the window whilst you answer a call that proves to be of no importance (or urgency) whatsoever.
Having a conversation with someone? Doesn't matter. Just interrupt it without warning, right in the middle of them saying something, to answer that intrusive phone call. That's just plain rude.

Emails at least offer choices. And generally more information than can be gleaned from a ringing phone.

Which isn't to say that I'll respond to each and every email instantly. Very often they don't require an instant response. Or sometimes I want to think about things before I respond. But if one does indeed appear to demand prompt attention then I can at least assess the priority required and act accordingly.

Whereas with phones the likelihood is I won't answer anyway... not unless I'm expecting the call (i.e., arranged by email first, for a time to suit me!).

So yeah, email's definitely my thing. ;)

"coz I spent less time at school than I should have"

Nope, not letting you off that easily... last time I went to school at all I was about eight, and before that I missed much much more than I attended!
:)

Moving rapidly on then (heh heh), yes, I think "good" is definitely the thing to aim for. But this gets even more tricky, for what constitutes a "good" blogger? And how does one measure that?
Does it, for example, equate to "popularity"... determined perhaps by number of hits, or number of comments? Or does such "popularity" merely indicate that the blogger is SEO-savvy or really effective at self-promotion?

Quality of content maybe? But how does one measure that... and is this not something that is far more subjective?

Ooh, loads of questions. And my head's starting to hurt! ;)
